Plugin Tweaks

Before deploying for Linux on Windows, you must update MV's NW.js runtime.

This is a collection of various free patches written by me that can be applied on top of other creators' RPG Maker plugins to fix small issues or incompatibilities, released under CC-BY-4.0.

The original plugins are still required. These tweaks only contain supplemental additions and/or patches and will error if the other plugin isn't loaded first.

(There's currently not much here, but this collection should slowly grow over time. You can follow me to see update announcements in your feed or tip to be notified of new uploads via email.)

Before you leave a tip here, please first support the original plugins' creators.
I've linked their respective tip jars below where applicable.

Load Order

My extension plugins should generally be loaded directly after their respective base plugin, but each plugin comes with more specific instructions.

TS Tweak for Galv_ChoicePictures (MV)

Base Plugin (with tip jar links in the sidebar to the left)

Automatically prefetches and decodes choice pictures a bit earlier to avoid flickering. The exact behaviour is configurable.

If issues persist while flipping through choices repeatedly, please raise your cache limit using the Community Basic plugin that comes with RPG Maker MV.

Plugin Parameters, Commands and JavaScript APIs

Please see each tweak plugin's included documentation for this information. The defaults should work just fine for most games.

A note to the base plugins' authors:

I've excluded you from the attribution requirement of the license for tweaks targeting your plugins, so you may refer to or copy that code into your plugins no-strings-attached. (I'd still appreciate a small shout-out, if you'd be so kind.)

Just please let me know about that so I can deprecate the respective patches here and point game creators to your updated version.

Compatibility Notes

These plugins were tested on RPG Maker MV 1.6.2 and RPG Maker MZ 1.5.1 where applicable, use only the public RPG Maker API as far as possible, and do not use any platform-specific APIs.

These plugins should be compatible with any deployment target available for RPG Maker MV and/or MZ, including web and most custom ones.

If you notice issues or glitches in combination with other plugins, please tell me about them, and I'll check if a compatibility tweak is feasible.
